Madhubani by Vidushini recently participated in the By Hand From The Heart – Makers Market, held on 26th and 27th July at Primrose 131, Mylapore, Chennai. This marked the second time artist Vidushini Prasad brought her work to this beautifully curated handmade event – and it was once again a deeply fulfilling experience.

The two-day event welcomed a diverse and enthusiastic audience. From curious children and young adults to senior citizens, visitors from all age groups engaged with Vidushini’s intricate Madhubani paintings, wearable art, and accessories that reflect the essence of Mithila tradition.

What stood out during the event was the heartwarming response from elderly visitors, many of whom took time to not only admire her work but also share stories and words of appreciation. Equally surprising and inspiring was the interest shown by the younger generation — with many children and teenagers stopping by to ask questions, observe the art in detail, and express genuine curiosity about the techniques and meaning behind the motifs.
