Renowned Madhubani artist, TEDx speaker, and founder of Madhubani Arts India, Vidushini Prasad, will showcase her exclusive Madhubani creations at the Festival of Handmade 2024, organized by A Hundred Hands from October 2nd to 6th, 2024, at the Jayamahal Palace Hotel in Bangalore. The festival, a celebrated platform for artisans, will allow Vidushini to present her latest collection of hand-painted Madhubani art across various products.

Vidushini’s collection blends traditional Mithila motifs with modern design and includes hand-painted sarees, dupattas, stoles, wall plates, clutches, journals, and more. Each piece reflects her dedication to preserving and evolving the centuries-old Madhubani art form while appealing to contemporary tastes.

Vidushini Prasad, the esteemed founder of Madhubani Arts India, recently participated in the Aakruthi Vastra ’24—The Monsoon Edit event, held at N Convention, Madhapur, Hyderabad, on July 9th and 10th, 2024. The Crafts Council of Telangana organized the event. The event marked Vidushini’s first exhibition in Hyderabad, and it garnered an overwhelming response from art enthusiasts and collectors.

Vidushini Prasad’s exhibition featured a stunning collection of Madhubani-inspired sarees, stoles, and dupattas, all showcasing the intricate designs and vibrant colors characteristic of this traditional Indian art form. Visitors were captivated by Madhubani art’s beauty and cultural significance, rooted in the Mithila region’s rich heritage.

The event saw an incredible turnout, with a large crowd attending even on weekdays. Attendees expressed immense appreciation for Vidushini’s work, with many praising her meticulous craftsmanship and the stories depicted in her art.
