Vidushini Prasad

Passionate about Madhubani Art

Vidushini Prasad is a celebrated Madhubani (Mithila) artist from Bihar, the birthplace of this renowned folk art. Raised in a family of film distributors surrounded by Bollywood’s vibrancy, Vidushini pursued an academic path, earning graduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry in Patna. Yet, her passion for Madhubani art classes and her Bihar roots led her to become a custodian of this centuries-old tradition.

Artistic Journey and Inspiration
In 2004, the birth of her first child reignited Vidushini’s childhood love for painting. She found herself naturally drawn to the intricate patterns and cultural depth of Madhubani art. Her early works, decorating her home, impressed family and friends, who encouraged her to pursue this self-taught passion. Today, you can learn Madhubani with Vidushini Prasad through her immersive online Madhubani workshops and offline sessions.
