Dastkar Pune Bazaar 2026: A Wonderful First Experience in Pune

Dastkar Pune 2026 New

My first exhibition in Pune turned out to be one of my most rewarding exhibition experiences, and I am deeply grateful to Dastkar for inviting me to be part of Pune Bazaar 2026.

Held at Rohi Villa Palace, Koregaon Park, from 26 September to 5 October 2026, the exhibition brought together artisans, craft enthusiasts and visitors who appreciate the beauty of handmade creations.

The response to my collection of original Madhubani paintings, wearable art, hand-painted silk, bags, journals and contemporary lifestyle products was truly encouraging. The footfall was good, and the conversations around my work made the experience especially fulfilling. It was heartening to see visitors take an interest not just in the finished products, but also in the art, thought and craftsmanship behind each piece.

One of the most special aspects of this exhibition was meeting people who already knew my work. Many of my social media followers visited the stall, along with students from design schools who wanted to explore Madhubani art and understand how a traditional art form can find expression in contemporary products. Interactions with influencers and other creative individuals added another wonderful dimension to the experience.

For me, exhibitions are about much more than sales. They are opportunities to share my journey as a self-taught artist, introduce people to the rich visual language of Mithila, and demonstrate how Madhubani can travel beyond the canvas into textiles, accessories and everyday life.

Pune, you made my first exhibition here truly special! The warmth, enthusiasm and encouraging response have made this one of my best exhibitions in terms of audience engagement and overall experience.

A heartfelt thank you to Dastkar for the invitation and for creating a platform that brings artisans, independent creators and craft lovers together. I return from Pune with wonderful memories, new connections and renewed enthusiasm to keep exploring the possibilities of Madhubani art.

Until next time, Pune!
